Farmstead and Crow Creek

Hey yall...I apologize that I haven't kept you posted since Barefoot but here I am to tell you about the last couple tournaments.

Farmstead was an experience to say the least. I fired a 74 my first round and was 8 back of the leader who had shot a 66. The next day we played in the worst conditions of the year and personally, my life. It was 35 degrees and we had wind gusts of 40mph. I played solid golf but ended up missing the cut by a couple. An example of how hard the wind blew was our second hole. The first day on hole 2 we could hit driver-wedge. It was only 390yds. Second day I hit driver 4 iron. WOW!

Moving on to this week we went back to the course in which I started my professional career, Crow Creek. The field was very weak due to weather and a separate tour starting up in Hilton Head.

I started off with a 72 first round and shot a 76 today. I MADE THE CUT! It gives me great satisfaction to have made another cut and allows me to leave my professional career on a bit of a high note.

Thank You to everyone who has supported me during this endeavor. I truly have enjoyed my time down here and have met friends that I will keep forever.

Barefoot Resort

Hey yall,

This week we played at the Dye course Barefoot resort. This was by far the best course we played during this series. We got rained out on Tuesday so we were scheduled for 36 holes on Wednesday. I started at 9:45 and came out solid opening with an even par front 9. Then my energy seemed to just drop. I played the next six holes struggling to swing the club. I started the back 9 with two bogeys and then on hole 15 I took a triple bogey 6. I ended with a birdie on 18 to finish with a 76.

My second round I played solid solid golf and again started my second round with an even par 36. I got through 7 holes on the back 9 and was then called off the course due to darkness.

I came back Thursday morning to finish my 2 holes. I was 4 over for the tournament knowing that the cut was going to be around 3 or 4 over. I made par on 8 and came to 9 needing birdie or no worse then par. I hit a great drive and a good second shot to about 25 feet. I then gunned my first putt by about 4 feet and went on to miss that putt to end up at 5 over for the tournament and missing the cut by 1.

My stats for the tournament

76
Greens 11/18 Fairways 9/14 Putts 29

73
Greens 14/18 Fairways 8/14 Putts 34

Thanks for the support!

Back in Action!

Tuesday, Wednesday was this weeks tournament played at Brunswick Plantation. On Tuesday the wind howled and I sufferd for it on the front nine. I started off 6 over on the first 6 holes. I couldn't seem to grasp the speed of the greens and was constantly backing away because of the wind. I ended up with 4 three putts and a 4 putt.

After those 6 holes I played the rest of the tournament even par. If I could take away the first 6 holes I played better than anyone in the tournament. Unfortunetly, I can't and ended up missing the cut by 3 strokes.

I am starting to play much much much better and am excited about playing these last 3tournaments.

My stats from Brunswick -78-72

78
Putts 37 - Greens 11/18 - Fairways 13/14

72
Putts 32 - Greens 13/18 - Fairways 13/14

Finished t-7

Hey friends,

Finished up today with a 73 which put me at 6 over and tied for 7th. I hit and putted the ball better than I have in a long time so obviously a step in the right direction.

For all those who care about length and the new drivers out there....I decided before my second round that putting the ball in play was the most important thing at this golf course. I hit 3 wood off of every hole today including the par 5's. So think about that!

My stats today were...10/14 fairways 11/18 greens 29 putts

If you look at my scorecard I played solid golf all day until my 16th hole where I took an 8. Disappointed about that hole but I brought it back with an eagle on the next hole. Thats golf for ya...

Thanks for your support!

Made the cut!

I made the cut....I shot 74 75 and I am 6 off the lead. The course is playing tough and even tougher are the greens. I hit the ball great and I finally feel like the old me.

My stats today were... 9/14 Fairways 12/18 Greens 32 Putts

I hope to play well tomorrow and make a big paycheck.

Thanks for ya'lls support.

t-6th after day 1

I'm starting to play like the old me! My main thought every time i'm over the golf ball is no fear. If you have fear over the golf ball don't hit it. Anyways today was round 1 at River Hills. I played better than I have which has put me right there...

My Stats were - Greens 11/18 Fairways 6/14 Putts 30

How cold is it right now?

Practicing right now is next to impossible due to the weather. You need multiple layers of clothing to even go outside. I know ya'll have it worse back north so I know I have to quit complaining.

Looking forward to next weeks tournament at River Hills....same course I played for the Jack Frost Scramble.
